History

Monkey Dirt Racing began it's first season in March of 2012 with original driver Josh Costilow. As the year progressed he gained his youngest daughter, Megan (17 years old at the time), as a constant passenger. Gary Costilow also proved to be adept in his starting season as well. In 2013, Megan began her first season racing. As time continues this family's love for racing only grows.

The Drivers:

Josh Costilow is owner and operator of local Grenada, Ms, business-Active Tree Service. When not working or racing, he enjoys hunting, fishing and spending time with his family. Josh has one son, three daughters, three grandsons, and one granddaughter. His special skills include: eating congealed salad (AKA "Moving Mold"), thinking of congealed salad, and dreaming of congealed salad. Josh's favorite color is purple and he particularly likes to visit the monkies at the zoo. He also has a great love for snakes.

Megan Costilow is Josh's youngest daughter from his first marriage. She is currently a Freshman attending Mississippi State University. Megan is majoring in political science and plans to attend law school. When not being    constantly bombarded with school assignments, Megan enjoys fishing, spending time with her big brother, and eating. Megan especially loves her mother's home cooked meals, and Cheetos. Megan's special skills include: sleeping, singing the Blues with Randy Smith(stepfather), and walking away with other people's children in tow.

Gary Costilow is Josh's older brother and as quoted by Megan, "Uncle Gary is the smartest guy I know!" Gary works at Luvata in Grenada, Ms. He is the proud father to three girls. Gary is also the boy's youth minister at his church, Lighthouse Church of God. When not working or mentoring at the church, Gary enjoys sleeping in his recliner and reading. He particularly loves reading the Bible and books on philosophy. Although Gary loves all sweets, he especially loves lemon pie. Gary is a serious LSU fan and loves to watch their football games.
